1. Introduction
Welcome to Glassie (the “App”). Glassie is provided by Amplify Apps LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information, including any images of your face you upload for skincare analysis. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and retain your information. By using the App, you accept the practices described in this policy.

2. Interpretation and Definitions

  • Account: A unique account created for you to access and use the App.


  • Application: The Glassie mobile application.


  • Company: Amplify Apps LLC


  • Device: Any device you use to access the App (e.g., smartphone, tablet).


  • Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable person.


  • Usage Data: Data collected automatically from your use of the App (e.g., device type, OS version, usage times).


  • Face Image: A photograph or image of your face uploaded to the App for skincare analysis.


  • Service Provider: A party that processes data on behalf of the Company (e.g., cloud storage provider, API provider).


3. Information We Collect
3.1 Face Images & Analysis Data

  • When you choose to use the “Skin Scan” or “Face Analysis” feature, you upload one or more Face Images.


  • These Face Images are processed in order to generate an analysis of skin condition (for example: oiliness, dryness, redness, blemish count).


  • We do not extract or store unique biometric identifiers or faceprints (i.e., we do not create a template that can reliably identify an individual).


  • The analysis results (e.g., “score”, “recommendations”, “history entry”) are stored only if you choose to save them in your account.


3.2 Account & Profile Data

  • When you register for an Account, we may collect your name, email address, and password (hashed).


  • Optionally you may provide other profile details (e.g., age range, skin type) to improve personalization.


3.3 Usage Data

  • We collect information such as your device model, operating system version, App version, timestamps of usage, crash logs, and anonymized analytics for service improvement.


4. Use of Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the App’s core functionality (including face-scan, analysis, account management).


  • To process Face Images so you receive your skin-condition report and tailored product suggestions.


  • To store your scan history (only if you opt in) so you can review previous analyses.


  • To communicate updates, support, and service messages (if you permit).


  • To monitor and improve the App (including error detection, usage analytics).


  • To comply with legal obligations.


5. Face Image Processing & Third-Party Services

  • Face Images may be securely transmitted to OpenAI’s image-processing API for the sole purpose of generating the skincare analysis (under OpenAI’s data-usage policy).


  • No Face Images or derived data are used for face recognition, identity verification, advertising profiling, or other secondary purposes.


  • If you choose to save a scan, the Face Image and analysis result are stored encrypted in our private Azure Blob Storage.


  • If you do not save the scan, the Face Image is deleted immediately after processing (see Section 8).


6. Disclosure & Sharing of Your Information

  • We do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise share Face Images or skin-analysis results with advertisers or third-party marketers.


  • We may share your information only with Service Providers who assist us (for example: cloud storage, API providers) and only under contract obligations to protect your data.


  • We may disclose your information if required by law (e.g., government request, court order) or to protect our rights, safety, or the rights of others.


  • In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred, but you will receive notice and have rights as required under applicable laws.


7. Data Storage Locations & Security

  • Saved Face Images and analysis results are stored in Azure Blob Storage  and encrypted at rest and in transit.


  • We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards (such as TLS/SSL, encryption, access controls) to protect your data.


  • Although we strive to protect your information, no system is fully secure; therefore absolute security cannot be guaranteed.


8. Retention of Face Images & Analysis Data

  • If you do not save a scan: Face Images are deleted immediately after the analysis result is delivered.


  • If you save a scan: the Face Image and analysis result are retained until you delete it from your account, or until we delete it to comply with legal obligations. You may delete individual scans at any time via the “Scan History” screen.


  • Usage Data and logs are retained for no longer than necessary for service maintenance, improvement, and legal compliance (typically [specify period] months).


9. Your Rights & Controls

  • You may delete your account at any time which will remove your profile, saved scans, and associated data.


  • You may access or export your saved scan history via your account settings.


  • You may request correction or deletion of your data by contacting us at [support email].


  • If located in certain jurisdictions (e.g., EU, UK, California), you may have additional rights (e.g., data portability, objection, restriction of processing).


  • If you disable or uninstall the App, your account remains unless you explicitly delete it.


10. Children’s Privacy

  • Our App is not directed to children under 13 (or relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect Face Images or other Personal Data from children under this age. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we will take prompt action to delete it.


11. Links to Other Websites

  • Our App may include links to third-party websites. We do not control these websites and their privacy practices may differ from ours; you should review their policies.


12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

  • We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect changes. Your continued use of the App after the changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.


  • If changes are material, we will provide prominent notice (e.g., in-App or via email) prior to the change taking effect.
